Inactive players

We have some players that dip in and out of hockey... whether because of education, family issues, whatever. With that, we've found that it's really hard to sign up if you've previously had a teamo account - "this phone number has previously registered". Could there be an "Active / Inactive" player toggle so that they're still members, but won't get hassled about fees, events, notifications, etc. until they switch it back to 'Active', and are again counted as part of our membership base?

Hi Cat,
I will add this to our feature request list.

With the "phone number previously registered", they probably need to Sign In not Sign Up - i.e. their account is still active?

Jim Garside (Wilmslow HC), I don’t think that is possible. We have all sorts of problems when a parent has tried to add a child using the parent’s phone number and/or email.

Deborah Evelyn I've seen the "phone number previously registered" problem several times. In my experience it happens because parent is trying to add another child in Teamo and they try to "register" them as a new member using their own (parent's) phone or email details. (Or sometimes the child is already in Teamo or the parent is trying to register themselves when they are already registered). Teamo rejects this - user contact details have to be unique as they are part of the login process. BUT this is not the right way to add another child: instead, the parent needs to go into the app and tap their profile pic/initials top left, then tap their pic/initials again to open their profile. Then tap the button "Add [Family]".
Hope this might help and I've understood the problem correctly?

I have a few membership categories -
a non playing member goes into the non playing member section, which means they then only get added to social events and such, but don't go through our 'seniors' or 'juniors' emails or events
I've also not heard of the issue with a previous account - when people leave the club I properly delete them off our systems though?

Yes, I've done something similar to separate out "Non-member contacts"
